Founder and Director of The DNA Project
Approachable and authentic, Trent is passionate about empowering success.
Trent creates self-awareness and facilitates positive change and achievement through neuroscience-based coaching conversations and tools.
Trent completed a Bachelor of Arts then a Master of Arts (Honours) degree in History. He then embarked on a 10-year career as an editor in a legal publishing company. During this period, Trent studied part time for a Bachelor of Laws degree.
He completed a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies (Dispute Resolution), undertook professional legal studies and was admitted to the Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand while working as a Case Manager for an Environment Court Judge. Despite working in a legal setting, Trent agonized over whether or not to practice law.
Fortunately, through training others one-on-one, he discovered a love of empowering people to succeed. This was the catalyst for Trent to abandon the idea of practising law, complete a Brain-Based Coaching Certificate through the renowned NeuroLeadership Institute and establish The DNA Project.
He now combines his training experience, coaching qualification and thirst for knowledge about the relationship between achievement, behaviours and how the brain works, to empower and support people to set and achieve goals and identify and make the breakthroughs they require to move forward. Trent facilitates insights and motivates action for success.
Trent has been coaching since December 2014.
